Linon Angela Walnut Wood Vanity Set with Mirror - Elegant Dressing Table for Bedroom, Makeup Vanity & Home Decor

I was surprised when I received this because it looks far better than you'd expect for this price. It was purchased to use as a desk for the laptop on the sunporch, & possibly for a vanity until I could find the right piece of furniture. But it's really OK to use for either, so I'm pleased with it. While not sturdy like a solid wood would be, you already know not to expect that, so handle with some care & I think it will serve its purpose. The assembly was a little awkward but it's the first piece of furniture that I've ever assembled, so you probably won't have any trouble. The appearance is not shabby, & the 2 drawers and storage are just deep enough to store plenty. Overall, I think it's a smart purchase for the $.I like the vanity yet too many paint flaws, so sent back. It looked easy to assmeble.The Good:-The product is true to pictures and it's fit for an adult. I'm 5'9" and feel comfortable sitting on the stool, I do have to hunch a little bit to use the mirror that's included, but I did not intend to use it as I will be putting a beautiful mirror on the wall, it's a nice to have anyways.-If you're looking for a basic/functional product that you can spice up later on, then this is the product for you, it's simple, it's off-white color, it has a good size, it's easy to assemble and it has a small hole in the back for the hair tools' electric cords. It's high enough to be used as a desk and once it's assembled it feels sturdy.-Regarding storage there are two small drawers and extra storage under the mirror which is enough to store the basics, but I will definitely not be able to fit in all my products in the drawers, but that's Ok cause I will buy a makeup organizer.-The stool is ok, nothing special and I actually don't like the color they chose for the cushion, but I will be covering it up with something decorative and a bit more glamorous like sheep skin or I'll just reupholster it. What's good about this item is that the price-point is right so it allows you to add on more things to make it look special if that's what you intend.The Bad:- The packaging was below standard, the box had a big hole that had been put tape over and it was too dirty, leaving black traces all over my house, you can tell that the box was not treated as fragile. The only padding they used was thin styrofoam which was not enough padding due to the weight of the wood, so my item was chipped in 3 corners. One corner looks bad, the other two are barely noticeable. Plus the styrofoam left white dust and little white balls all over my floors.- The hardware included (nails, screws, etc.) comes wrapped in a thin plastic which broke during shipment and the two knobs for the drawers were missing because they broke loose. I found them after destroying all of the styrofoam inside the box, but given that the box had a hole already they could have been lost during shipment.- The finish on this item is uneven, it's well finished on the top and anywhere that's in-sight but it's unfinished wood underneath the table top.Overall it's a good product for the price, but even though it's being sold by so many stores, I chose to get it from Amazon because I've had great experiences with their logistics in the past and trusted their shipping standards to be better than the others'. In this case it was not, and as a consequence the product is chipped around the corners on the right side.Love it. Had my adult son put it together for me and it was easy to do. The table is a solid piece of furniture and very impressive. The photo doesn't do it justice. I bought this one rather than one where the mirrors are attached to the outside of the table because I'm short and I'd never be able to see myself in those mirrors. This one has the mirror on the inside of the top which sits the mirror lower for us shorties. The compartment is large and holds a ton of product. The drawers on the sides are a little on the narrow side but very deep. The stool that comes with it is very sturdy and comfortable. Says it holds 250 lbs but I'd say it could hold more than that. It's very well made and solid wood not composite. I'm extremely happy with the vanity set and would highly recommend it. I've never had or used a makeup table before (I'm 64) but putting makeup on it the bathroom and leaning over the sink isn't as easy as it used to be. Now I wonder how I ever lived without it. My routine has totally changed and become much easier now - get dressed, sit at makeup table and then I'm ready for my day. It did have a tiny mark on the front edge - I went over it with a sharpie and now you can't even tell where it was.I have been looking for this for 8 years. I have a small area in the bathroom and most are too big. This fits perfectly, looks like real furniture rather than the usual poorly made items you find these days. It was very easy to assemble and is sturdy.I have to say that it is very nice vanity/desk. It is a great value, similar product cost twice as much at Ashley furniture. It arrived very well packed and was easy to assemble. Though packed very well, was missing one little screw for the mirror, but had extra large screws for the vanity. The missing screw wasn't a problem: I have similar ones rolling in my junk drawer all the time. My daughter loves the desk and I think it will be very easy to touch up if it gets scratched or chipped (I got the white one). Thinking to replace the stool: it is there for the same great price, and probably would be ok for the vanity purpose, but my daughter is using it as a desk, so she needs a better chair.
